Here Together Art Exhibit
Join us at Live Oak Art Center, 1014 Milam Street, Columbus, Texas, and experience Here Together during its run through October 31.
We especially invite you to join us for the Artist Reception on September 19 from noon–2 PM to meet the artists, view the exhibition, and celebrate their work.
At its heart, Here Together celebrates the idea that community does not require sameness. Individual voices, materials, and perspectives come together to create something meaningful through the simple act of sharing space.

Wool Art Class
Join us at the Live Oak Art Center for "Painting with Wool" a Paint & Sip with local artist Svitlana Parks!!
This class will guide you through the process of Svitlana's unique art style of using dyed wool to create 'paintings' with a 3-Dimensional flair. All supplies will be provided to you, including wine, but you will also be able to purchase wine and food from the curated collection at our very own Courtyard Bar.
Whether you're a professional artist yourself, or just looking for a fun girls night craft, everyone of all skill levels is sure to have a good time!!
Tickets are $75.00 per person, and if you're a member of the Live Oak Art Center, you can purchase yours in person at a discounted rate.

Stop Bullying Artist Reception
Join Live Oak Art Center for the opening reception of Stop Bullying, a powerful community art exhibition that highlights the impact of bullying and promotes kindness, empathy, and respect. Through a variety of creative works, participating artists share personal perspectives and inspire meaningful conversations about acceptance and positive change.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists, view the exhibition, and learn more about the stories and messages behind the artwork. This special evening celebrates the role of art in raising awareness, fostering understanding, and bringing communities together around important social issues.
Light refreshments will be served, and admission is free and open to the public. We invite individuals, families, educators, and community members to join us for an inspiring evening of art, connection, and advocacy.
Come experience how creativity can be a powerful voice against bullying and a catalyst for compassion in our community.
Mahj for the Arts

Columbus!

Come as a group of 4 or register as a single player and we’ll group you with other single players.
All skill levels are welcome!
Tournament format:
• National Mah Jongg League rules
• No blanks
• No rotating tables
• Groups stay together for the day
• Singles will be grouped together
• The players with the most total Mahjongs will win 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes
Groups of 4, please bring one Mahjong tile set for your table.

After School Art Classes
We are excited to welcome young artists back to Live Oak Art Center for our FREE Student Art Classes!
Thanks to the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Texas Commission on the Arts, students can explore their creativity, learn new art techniques, and enjoy hands-on art experiences at no cost.

Youth Recycled Art Show
The Live Oak Art Center is proud to support the Columbus Garden Club through its Youth Art Contest and Show!!
The deadline to submit your child's artwork is September 23rd, 2026, and the show will be held in the Laura Ann Rau Gallery on the second floor of the Live Oak Art Center on October 1-17th of 2026.
