2025 Kids Summer Art Camp
Join us this summer for LOAC's 2025 Kids Summer Art Camps! Classes will be upstairs in our Laura Ann Rau Gallery, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. Please make sure your child has a lunch and a drink with a lid when they come each day. LOAC will provide water and snacks. This is a free camp and limited seats are available, so don't wait to secure your spot! If you are unable to attend classes after you register, please let the gallery know asap, more than 3 unexcused classes in our summer camp programs, your child will not be able to participate in any of the other camps for the summer. We are so excited about camps this year and cannot wait to see what the kiddos create! LOAC Creative Movement Class
We're thrilled to launch our first Creative Movement Class, led by Columbus native Melanie Boettcher.
In Creative Movement, children will, first and foremost, move! In this class will be all of the tremendous physical benefits of dance along with several other learning components such as social-emotional learning, testing memory, listening and comprehension, rhythm, group work, and observation skills. Students will have several opportunities to explore and express dance concepts, learn short choreography, and learn improvisational skills. This creative movement class is based on the 5 part lesson plan developed at the Creative Dance Center in Seattle, WA by Anne Green Gilbert with an emphasis on Laban Movement Analysis dance concepts.
